Re: Google AdSense
Sat, April 2, 2005 - 3:29 PMI don't have very many readers, so I can't justify using ads. Don't want to alienate the few I DO have, lol. -

Re: Google AdSense
Tue, April 5, 2005 - 8:11 PMI am going to go to the web with a couple of my blogs and I think one might be useful because it is a resource website and therefore targeted ads would actually provide a service to my visitors. Of course we will have to actually see because Google told me they couldn't confirm what ads would or wouldn't get sent there so I will just have to try it and if I don't like it, either change my text that it searches by or take it off altogether. -

Thu, April 7, 2005 - 4:29 PMI don't think either one of my readers would want me to provide them with a service.

Sun, April 17, 2005 - 9:07 PMI tried to, but the weirdest thing happens. When I click on the link to set up my site, it's in Japenese! Its the weirdest thing. -

Re: Google AdSense
Fri, May 13, 2005 - 6:30 PMI use it, but not on my blog... traffic isn't high enough. But on sites that are getting a few thousand hits a day, it's a great way to make money.
The effectiveness varies with your subject matter. If your blog is about something generic, you'll get generic ads and the click-through payments will be very low. On the other hand, if your blog is about something that people pay a low for (like legal services), you'll get very targeted ads and the click-through payments will be high.
So, while traffic is always important, the subject of your site detmines how much traffic you need to really make money.
